LAHORE: Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Rao Sardar Ali Khan on Monday suspended from service two police officers for aerial firing at a wedding ceremony in Shahdara area.
“Police are a disciplined force in which there is no room for law breaking elements,” the IG said and directed the capital city police officer (CCPO) to conduct an inquiry into the matter and submit a detailed report. He directed that strict action should be taken against the personnel involved in the illegal activity.
Meanwhile, the IG also took notice of the incident of firing on a school van in Rawalpindi and directed the Rawalpindi RPO to submit a detailed inquiry report.
