Chief Executive Officer, Tribal Electricity Supply Company (Tesco) Pervez Khankhel Swati on Monday directed the Superintending Engineers (SEs) and XENs Operation of the company to boost up recovery from industrial, commercial, tube well and government connections in order to achieve the targets set by the Ministry of Water & Power.
Speaking at a high level meeting of Tesco officers at Wapda House, he said the only target assigned to the field formations is increase in recovery which would also be reflected in the performance evaluation report of each officer. He called for recovering full arrears amounting to Rs 746.55 million from the govt departments in Fata by 15th September 2012. Till now Tesco has arrears of Rs 33.52 million against Cadet College Razmak, Rs 46.10 million against Fata DC, Rs 34.84 million against Garrison Engineers Army, Rs 38.24 million against Militia Scouts, Rs 51.39 million against Frontier Corps and Rs 52.7 million against Political Agents in Fata.
Similarly, Rs 34.56 million arrears are outstanding against education, Rs 70.127 million against health, Rs 80.88 million against work & services, 144.52 million against water management, Rs 13.49 million against Frontier Constabulary, Rs 93.53 million against irrigation & power and Rs 14.66 against Agriculture Engineering of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa.
The Chief Executive Officer reviewed individual performance of each division and Sub Division under Tesco and directed to overcome the shortcomings in the matters pertaining to recovery. He said all-out efforts were required for the company in order to improve its financial health which provides financial support to our families despite its meager financial resources.
