PESHAWAR: In continuation of the process of sending relief items to Afghanistan, the Al-Khidmat Foundation (AKF) has handed over 31 trucks laden with relief goods worth Rs 45 million to Afghan authorities. To hand over relief commodities to Afghan government authorities, a ceremony was organised at Torkham gate, according to a press release issued here on Wednesday.

Muhammad Shakir Siddiqui, provincial general secretary of Al-Khidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Rizwan, President of Al-Khidmat Foundation Punjab, Head of Afghan Refugee Ministry Muhammad Ali, Head of Afghan Eastern Zone Mian Hafeez-ud-Din Qamari, Afghan official Ghaziullah Hashmi, and other personalities and officials attended the event.

Shakir Siddiqui while speaking to the media said that Afghans have been seriously impacted by the current cold and snowfall in Afghanistan, and that Al-khidmat Foundation has given over 31 trucks of food products on Wednesday.

He stated the Al-Khidmat Foundation had previously supplied 72 trucks of assistance commodities to Afghanistan, including medicines, sewing machines, food, warm clothing, and winter packages.

Al-Khidmat Foundation has dispatched a total of 103 trucks of assistance materials worth more than Rs.215 million to Afghanistan, according to Shakir Siddiqui.

On the occasion, Muhammad Rizwan, President of the Al-Khidmat Foundation Punjab, informed the media that Afghanistan is a fraternal country of Pakistan, and that it is our moral and religious obligation to assist them.
