LAHORE: Amreli Steels living its Vision – “Committed to strengthen the economy and society” – has always been dedicated to empower the community through contributing and supporting the philanthropic projects.

Aligned with this aim, Amreli Steels has graciously agreed to donate Rs 10 million worth steel for the construction of Pakistan’s largest tertiary-care cancer centre – Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) which is being built in DHA City at Superhighway, Karachi.

The MoU signing ceremony was held between Amreli Steels Limited and Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust (SKMT) on Wednesday at Amreli Steels Head Office. Fazal Ahmed – CFO & COO (Ops), Amreli Steels and Tariq Azam – Director Marketing & Resource Development, SKMCH signed the MoU on behalf of the respective organizations.

Other members present at the signing ceremony were Hina Naeem – Manager Trainings /CSR / Corporate Communic-ations, Mohsin Sadiq – Head of Marketing, Sohaib Hassan – Manager Marketing from Amreli Steels and Muhammad Zohaib Faizi –Regional Manager South and Alina Tafsir - Deputy Manager Marketing from SKMCH.

Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Karachi will be the largest tertiary care centre in Pakistan, with state-of-the art cancer diagnosis and treatment facilities available under one roof like PET-MR system which is the new form of Hybrid Imaging Technology and a first for Pakistan.

The impact of Amreli Steels’ contribution to SKMCH, Karachi extend to entire Sindh and Southern Balochistan as SKMCH, Karachi will bring the best possible cancer care closer to the patients at these locations. The project is planned to be completed by December 2023. This MoU is a testament of Amreli Steels’s commitment to support mega philanthropic projects.
