LAHORE: The local cotton market on Tuesday remained steady while the trading volume was good.

The Spot Rate remained unchanged. Cotton Analyst Nasseem Usman while talking to Business Recorder said that reason behind increasing trading volume is selling of cotton by an international organization.

The price of Punjab’s Phutti attracted per 40 kilograms prices from Rs 7000 to Rs 9000. Cotton of Sindh was traded from Rs 18000 to Rs 20,000 per maund, Punjab’s cotton was traded from Rs 18000 to Rs 20,000 per maund. He also told that 740 bales of Khan Pur were sold at Rs 21000 per maund.

He also told that 400 bales of Ghotki , 400 bales of Mir Pur Mathelo were sold at Rs 20,800 (credit) per maund, 12000 bales of Dherki, 800 bales of Khan Pur were sold at Rs 20,000 per maund, 1000 bales of Rahim Yar Khan were sold at Rs 19900 per maund, 300 bales of Layyah were sold at Rs 17700 per maund and 2000 bales of Burewala were sold at Rs 17000 per maund.

The Spot Rate remained unchanged at Rs 20,000 per maund. Polyester Fiber was available at Rs 275 per kg.
