HAMBURG: Tunisia’s state grains agency rejected all offers and made no purchase in a tender for 125,000 tonnes of soft milling wheat and 100,000 tonnes of animal feed barley on Tuesday, European traders said.
Prices were regarded as too high. Only two trading houses were said to have submitted price offers for the soft wheat, with Viterra offering $527.40 a tonne c&f and Cargill $500.25 a tonne c&f, traders said. Just two trading houses were said to have submitted offers for the barley, with Viterra offering for several positions with the estimated lowest price of $495.00 a tonne c&f and Casillo offering $508.69 a tonne c&f, traders said.
