Prices move both ways on grain market

Prices moved both ways on the wholesale grain market on Saturday in process of slow trading, dealers said. On the cereal side makai shed Rs 25 to Rs 2700-2725, barley Sindh and Mardan, however, gained Rs 100 to Rs 3600-3650, other commodity items did not show any change in process of trading, they said.
On the rice sector Irri-6 Sindh low type picked up by Rs 50 to Rs 3475 while the best type was inert at Rs 3550, other types retained overnight levels because of balanced demand and supply position, they added. On the seeds counter cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh (old) low type was down by Rs 50 to Rs 450 while the best quality did not move any side at Rs 500, cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh (new) inferior type was unchanged at Rs 900 while the best type was slightly higher by Rs 10 to Rs 940, they said.
