CID AEC has claimed to arrest six suspects involved in incidents of targeted killings during separate raids in city on Sunday. AEC conducted raid in Jackson area and arrested four suspects identified as Iqbal, Amir, Sabir and Younis. Police said that the suspects hailed from a gangster group and were involved in over 30 cases of target killings, kidnapping for ransom and extortion activities.
Police also recovered two hand grenades, two Kalashnikovs and six pistols from their possession. In another raid, CID also arrested two men from Landhi area. Police said that they were involved in more than 50 cases of killings and have affiliation with political party. They were identified as Sajid alias Danger and Arif Rizvi.
