One person was killed and more than 30 injured in clashes between a mob and police in New Delhi, officials said Monday. The violence broke out late Sunday night after residents took to streets over police caning two men riding a scooter for not wearing helmets.
More than half dozen vehicles and a petrol station were set ablaze in the clashes that continued past midnight."Five locals and 32 policemen were injured in the clashes," district police chief Sanjeev Solanki said.
