85 paisa per unit hike in power tariff notified

National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has notified 85 paisa per unit increase in power tariff of Discos for July 2012 under the monthly fuel adjustment formula. This raise in tariff will be applicable to all categories of consumers in the bills of March 2013.
However, Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) consumers and those who consume only up to 90 units will be exempted from the raise. All Discos have already submitted their tariff determination petitions with Nepra for the current fiscal year raise.
