Senior Minister Sindh for Education and Literacy Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq has said that as per the directions of President Asif Zardari, the total amount of endowment fund has been doubled. This was stated while he was addressing a high-level meeting of Endowment Board of Education Department, Government of Sindh.
The Secretary Education Mukhtiar Ahmed Soomro, Additional Secretary Endowment Dr Azam Rehman Khan Meo, former Governor State Bank Dr Ishrat Hussain, Special Secretary Education Sajjad Hussain Abbasi and other high official of Education Department as well as the heads of academic institutions also attended the meeting. Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq said that it was the mission of President Asif Ali Zardari to provide sufficient scholarships to poor students, especially girls so that they could pursue their higher studies.-PR
