While addressing the students of final year MBBS/BDS at a lecture on "Vision for the Future" the Vice-Chancellor Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro, Professor Mashoor Alam Shah expressed.
"We being medical professionals are bound to take care of the community by educating the people about the preventive measures for the control of diseases, in this regard the University has arranged several public awareness seminars and health awareness messages are being relayed through print and electronic media. We need to convey the message to the public that many diseases can be prevented by just boiling the drinking water".
He directed the students to concentrate on their studies as every minute of their learning phase is precious and they must take full advantage of the time, so that they can deliver the best possible services to the community as a responsible individual and cope up with the upcoming challenges. He further said that the students should refrain themselves from unhealthy activities to keep up the name and standard of the first ISO certified public sector medical university.
Earlier the Deans (Basic sciences, medicine and allied, surgery and allied) and the Director Academics addressed the participants and briefed them regarding several postgraduate courses offered by the national and international institutions with possible carrier opportunities.
