Director Plant Protection Agriculture Extension Wing Hyderabad Bashir Ahmed paid a surprise visit at different pesticides/fertiliser shops in different markets in Larkana, Tando Mohammad Khan, Kariyo Ghanwar, Golarchi talukas since last three days and drawn different samples of pesticides products and fertiliser from dealer shops to test and examine the quality of same products through laboratories.
During the visit, he warned the dealers to avoid sale of fake pesticides/fertilisers in the market and doing their business fair and transparent so that growers community may not be suffered from such unfair business. He said that marketing of fake, substandard and other adulterated pesticides/fertilisers or any product was heinous crime and punishable under the law of land.
He further said that to resolve the complaints of growers, the authority of Agriculture Extension Sindh has deputed pesticides/fertilisers inspectors at every nook and corner of Sindh to surprise visits, take action against defaulters and ensure qualitative agro-products, pesticides, and fertilisers to growers. He stated that he and his team will further supervise and monitor the process to ensure supply of qualitative products to the growers.
