KARACHI: An Indian flight SG-11 with around 150 passengers on board made an unscheduled landing at Jinnah International Airport (JIAP), Karachi, due to a technical fault developed during the Dehli-Dubai journey.
According to details, the SpiceJet flight SG-11, which was bound to Dubai from Delhi, caught a technical fault during the flight. Consequently, the flight captain contacted JIAP’s control tower and sought permission for an unscheduled landing at the airport. The Pakistani aviation authority granted permission for this unscheduled landing purely on humanitarian ground, spokesman CAA said.
He said that SpiceJet’s Indian passenger plane, which landed at JIAP at 09:17 Tuesday morning due to light indicators malfunctioning, is still at Karachi Airport and added that the PIA engineers were working on the plane while the airline was sending another aircraft to lift the passengers. He said that the passengers were being served refreshments and they were now allowed to come out of the plane.
