Upward trend was witnessed on the wholesale grain market on Saturday in process of trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Makai low type gained Rs 50 to Rs 2600 and the best type was higher by Rs 75 to Rs 2575 due to tight supplies, other commodity items maintained overnight levels in process of trading, they said.
On the seeds side, rapeseeds cake low type rose by Rs 75 to Rs 1500 and the good type picked up Rs 100 t Rs 1550, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh (old) fell sharply by Rs 100 to Rs 350-400, cottonseeds oilcake with bag (new) inferior quality was unchanged at Rs 900 while the best type was lower by Rs 25 to Rs 925, they said. Prices were unchanged on the grams and side sectors, they added.
