Emergency media cell set up: DC, Wasa to update rain-related rescue activities

An emergency media cell has been established in the Divisional Information Office Hyderabad to keep close co-ordination with Provincial Ministries, Divisional Commissioner, Deputy Commissioners and Wasa and to update to print and electronic media about rain-related rescue and relief activities and correct the incorrect news under the directives of Secretary Information Department, Government of Sindh Dr Atta Mohammad Panhwar.
Zahid Mustafa Memon, Deputy Director Information having Cell No 0333-2628249 has been made incharge of this Emergency Media Cell at Hyderabad office while Zaffar Mangi, Information Officer having Cell No 0333-2756064 and Mr Saleem Ahmed Jatoi, Information Officer having Cell No 0333-2603958 have been made focal persons for morning shift while Shahzad Shaikh, Information Officer having Cell No 0333-2627053 has been made focal person for evening shift for the purpose. These officials have been assigned to keep close contact with Divisional and District Officers and line departments and update the latest status of rain-related rescue and relief activities to the print and electronic media without fail.
Besides, each Information Officer of the district fallen in Hyderabad Division have been made focal person for his district concerned and directed to remain present in his office to make close co-ordination with concerned Deputy Commissioner and officers of provincial departments to update the media about rain-related rescue and relief activities being carried out by district and provincial administration without fail.
