Reference 'WEF hails SECP; improves ranking to 55th' (September 8), it is a pleasant surprise to know that the World Economic Forum through its World Economic Competitiveness Report has appreciated the performance of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. The report has ranked the SECP 55, as compared to 70 last year.
Well done, SECP! The other state institutions need to follow the SECP in this regard. However, the SECP should not rest on its laurels. It should strive for greater heights.
