The management of the Karachi Stock Exchange has decided that trading in the shares of five listed companies will remain suspended for a further period of 60 days with effect from September 13, 2012.
"Since these companies have not so far removed the cause of suspension of trading in their shares, the management of KSE in the interest of trade and public and in exercise of the power vested in it under sub-section (7) of Section 9 of the Securities and Exchange Ordinance, 1969 and Listing Regulation No 30 of the Exchange, has decided that trading in the shares of the said five companies will remain suspended for a further period of 60 days", a KSE notice issued on Tuesday said. These companies are Al-Azhar Textile Mills Limited, Al-Qaim Textile Mills Limited, Libaas Textile Limited, Zahur Cotton Mills Limited and Hashmi Can Company Limited.
