Economic activities: Muneer hails role of chambers, trade bodies
KARACHI: Patron-in-Chief of the United Business Group (UBG) S M Muneer has appreciated the role being played by chambers and trade associations for the enhancement of economic activities.
Speaking at a dinner hosted by him, he spoke about the present dwindling economy of Pakistan which is confronted with many challenges.
He also spoke about the future plan of activities of the UBG.
While highly appreciating the role of Pakistan army he said Pakistan army is our pride and because of Pakistan we are breathing in free air and our defence is in safe hands.
Addressing his first gathering of the business community at Karachi Shahzad Malik spoke at length about the FPCCI forthcoming election 2023.
Malik assured business community that the UBG would soon initiate its aggressive election campaign by personal visits to all trade bodies across Pakistan with whom he would share his future plan of activities.
He said that with the support of trade bodies, the UBG would make FPCCI a real apex body and true representative of the business community of all sectors.
The UBG will keep its liaising alive with all trade bodies to resolve their macro and micro issues. The UBG will live up to aspirations and expectations of the voters and all economic policies and activities would be devised with the consultation of all trade bodies before presenting them to government for redressal Of genuine grievances of the business community, he added.
Malik also assured the members that UBG priority would be implementation of the policy of ease of doing business, attractive package of incentives to boost export and bring industrial revolution so that ample job opportunities could be generated for youths.
Zubair Tufail President, Zafar Bakhtawari Secretary General, Khalid Tawab Chairman Sindh Region, Ghazanfar Bilour KPK Region, Riazuddin Sheikh Chairman Gujranwala Division also spoke on the occasion.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Secretary Sindh Dr Muhammad Sohail Rajput.
