Modest trading was seen on the wholesale grain market on Wednesday as most of the participants were on the sidelines mainly because of rains in the city, dealers said.
On the rice sector, Basmati/ D-98-Shahdadkot low type was higher by Rs 300 to Rs 6500 and the better type was up by Rs 500 to Rs 6800, Super Basmati Sindh low type gained Rs 400 to Rs 8200 and superior type rose by Rs 300 to Rs 8500, other types maintained overnight levels in the process of trading, they said. On the seeds side, rapeseeds Nawabshah and Mirpurlance were lower by Rs 50 to Rs 2525-2550, rapeseeds cake followed same pattern, shedding the same amount to Rs 1450-1475, they added. Prices were unchanged on the cereals and grams sector, they said.
