TUSDEC (Technology Upgradation and Skill Development Company) launched a course of Fashion Designing in collaboration with First Women Bank Limited. The course has come about as the implementation of GEP (Gender Equity Programme) funded by USAID, says a spokesperson of the Company here on Wednesday.
The ten days' course programme is being imparted at NIDA (National Institute of Design and Analysis) Lahore Centre. Proficient trainers have been affianced by TUSDEC to apprise the vastly operable and market driven curricula. The course has attained an initial enrolment count of 23 female candidates. The trainees will be awarded with certificates as well as tool-kits at the course conclusion.
The programme is permeating the notion of enabling social security for women through their socio-economic empowerment. Bound to its strategic commitment in TVET (Technical Vocational Education and Training) sector reform TUSDEC is efficaciously pursuing towards female talent cultivation deeming it essential for the economic accession of the country. TUSDEC is going to foster the effort with FWBL by launching further courses of clutch making, textile design, home textile designing and footwear design in the coming months.-PR
