KARACHI: An event titled “Remembering Nayyara Noor” was organised at National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) to pay homage to the legendary singer who passed away a few days ago. The deceased singer’s family and closed companions participated in the event to commemorate her.
Nayyara Noor’s son Naad e Ali, an emerging singer Zara Madni and many other young artists rendered her songs to pay tribute to the Nightingale of Pakistan. Sultan Arshad Khan, a close companion of Nayyara Noor and the author of a book on music titled “101 Melody Makers”, remembered her in these words, “she held a crystal clear and pure character; so was her voice, and her voice was, indeed, heavenly.”
