Five die as jeep falls in river

Five passengers died when their jeep plunged into the River Chitral here on Thursday, police said. The Mastooj bound jeep, with five passengers onboard, reached Rashan area, plunged into the river Chitral while negotiating a sharp turn in the mountainous region.
All of the passengers died on the spot. The dead include driver Sher Akbar Khan, Khushnagar Khan, Nasir Ali Shah, Ali Raza Khan and Nasab Ali Shah. Later, the police and local residents rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.
