The Balochistan High Court (BHC) on Thursday disqualified provincial minister for excise and taxation Babu Mohammad Amin Umrani for possessing a fake BA degree. The provincial minister had won the Balochistan Assembly's PB-29 (Naseerabad) 2 seat in 2008 general elections. Umrani's degree was challenged in the Balochistan High Court by the Niaz Mohammad Lehri.
Justice Jamal Mandokhail, heading single bench during proceeding ruled that Umrani's degree was forged and directed the Election Commission of Pakistan to hold by-election for PB-29 seat.
