About five fresh dengue cases have been reported in Lahore during the last 24 hours raising the total number of dengue positive cases to 82. On Thursday, three dengue patients namely Akhter, Shakeel and Sher Ali, who were admitted in Mayo Hospital on dengue suspicion, have been tested positive of dengue. Hamza directed all the concerned departments to review their strategy and operation and remove flaws besides actively work with new pledge to eradicate the dengue larva.
He said that every department should ensure its activities at low level while city district government at UC level, adding the teams of volunteers could give best results by working door to door. He said that no financial or administrative hurdle would be allowed in the success of anti-dengue campaign.
Moreover, as many as 190 cases, under anti-dengue regulations have been registered against the owners of various commercial institutions and under-construction buildings where dengue larva has been detected. They were charged over for not taking necessary precautionary measures for eradication of dengue virus.
