A two-day capacity-building workshop was held here on Friday for officers of Gender Reform Action Plan (GRAP). The purpose of the training session was to equip officers with effective reporting techniques and methodologies required. Fifty officers from Project Management Unit, Gender Mainstreaming Units, Gender Support Unit and Career Development Center attended the workshop.
While addressing the workshop, Punjab Women Development Secretary Irum Bukhari said capacity-building of the GRAP officers is essential for the effective working of government machinery and efficient implementation of the Punjab Women Economic Empowerment Package 2012.
On the occasion, Project Director Sajjad Haider Sipra highlighted the objectives and purpose of the training session and the importance of communication and projection of the activities through reporting. He appreciated the role of GRAP regarding the well-organised activities conducted during dengue eradication campaign and said that the officers would be awarded commendatory certificates and shields in acknowledgement of their performance. Deputy Director Co-ordination Anees Chaudhry, Waheed Iqbal, Umar Farooq Chaudhry Rana Shahid, Umer Farooq Ahmed were also present on the occasion.
