Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Haider Khan Hoti on Friday invited hard working and intelligent student, Salim Khan, son of Ijaz, of Subhan Khwar (Shabqadar) to the Chief Minister House and awarded him Rs 100,000 cash prize. The chief minister praised salim Khan for his outstanding performance despite unfavourable circumstances.
Salim Khan expressed the wish to continue his studies in Peshawar. The chief minister directed the secretary of Higher Education to accommodate the brilliant student. He said that such spirited and knowledge-loving youth could earn laurels for the country and nation.
Salim Khan of the Government High School Subhan Khwar secured top position in the entire tehsil, obtaining 763 marks. He belonged to a very poor family. Meanwhile, a former lawmaker of the provincial assembly, Bahader Khan of Hateyan, who recently announced to join ANP, called on Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti at the Chief Minister House. Matters relating to development schemes in Mardan were discussed during the meeting.
