Activists of different religious parties and students' organisations have shown great anger over the sacrilegious act at various protest demonstrations and rallies against the anti-Islam film. After the Friday prayers, the protesters hailing from different religious parties including Jamaat-e-Islami, Jamiate-Ulema Islam (Fazl), Jamaat-ul-Dawa along with Imamia Student Organization (ISO) and Islamic Jamiate Tulba (IJT) staged protest demonstrations and rallies against the anti-Islam film in different parts of city, cantonment and university areas.
They strongly protested and condemned the inhuman and un-Islamic act, demanding the Muslim world and Pakistan to immediate expel US envoy and sever diplomatic ties with America. Amid slogans of "Allah-o-Akbar" (God is Great), the enraged protesters set the US-flag on fire and raised anti-American and Israel slogans. The Jamaat-e-Islami took out a protest rally from outside the historic Masjid Mohabat Khan culminated in Qissa Khwani bazaar. The rally was led by JI provincial Ameer Professor Mohammad Ibrahim Khan, Shabbir Ahamd Khan, Israrullah Advocate and Khateeb Jamia Masjid Mohabat Khan, Mohammad Yousaf Quershi and others. The participants were holding placards and banners inscribed anti-American and Israel slogans.
JI leader Professor Ibrahim Khan while addressing on the occasion strongly condemned the sacrilegious act. Activists of Jamaat-tul-Dawa, also held a protest rally from main Saddar square to Peshawar Press Club and reached by ridding bikes. The participants were led by JUD leader Sheikh Abu Mahviya holding placards and banners inscribed anti-US slogans.
Sheikh Abu Mahiviya along with other activists expressed their great anger and condemnation over the anti-Islam film. The Imamia Students Organization (ISO) protest demonstration headed by Allama Abid Shakeeri along with a large number of student activists. Islami Jamiat Tulba also staged a protest demonstration after the Jumma congregation in the university campus and marched from Jamia mosque to Teachers Community Centre in the university.
