Nusrat Pervaiz Ashraf, wife of Prime Minister, has suggested the Muslim women to observe Hijab, saying it would not obstruct them making progress. The First Lady was addressing a Hijab Conference organised by the Women and Family Commission (WFC) of Jamaat-i-Islami in connection with the International Hijab Day here on Saturday.
Sameeha Raheel Qazi, daughter of former head of Jamaat-i-Islami also spoke on the occasion besides other speakers. She said Islamic teachings were all about protection and respect of women and the cultural heritage also suggested that respecting women was a matter of dignity for men. According to her, women should wear Hijab to highlight their religious teachings and should not take it as a hurdle in their way to progress, she stressed.
