Pakistan Muslim League-Q President Senator Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has termed a strong reaction of the Muslims all over the world on blasphemous film a natural and justified, saying there could be no compromise over blasphemy of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and the Holy Quran by the extremists of the West and to stop such blasphemous acts, all Muslim governments should adopt unanimous strategy.
In a statement released by PML-Q on Saturday, Shujaat expressed great sorrow and grief over this blasphemous act and said Pakistan was created in the name of Islam and the government of Pakistan should react very strongly against blasphemous film, YouTube should immediately be stopped throughout the country and the Foreign Ministry should summon the US Ambassador and lodge a strongly worded protest with him because it was a matter concerning faith of every Muslim.
He said that on this condemnable and deplorable act, not only US and YouTube officials should have immediately extended heartfelt apology to the Muslims all over the world but also must have taken action against those who made the blasphemous film.
He said "no Muslim can compromise on blasphemy against the Holy Quran and the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him); not only us but our children are ready to lay their lives for the dignity and honour of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and those indulging in such condemnable and deplorable activities cannot be pardoned from any religion's point of view." He said in the Western countries no action was taken against such people in the name of religion and freedom of expression as a result of such extremist elements and their patrons were encouraged. Shujat Hussain said Pakistan government should play a leading role in developing unanimous strategy of the Muslim Ummah in this regard.
