Pakistan Navy's exercise Seaspark 2012 commenced here on Monday. A Pakistan Navy spokesman said that the opening briefing was held at the PN Dockyard. It was also attended by the Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Asif Sandila. The Navy spokesman said that during the briefing session, the respective force commanders presented their plans.
The Seaspark has been planned in accordance with the strategic priorities and operational preparedness as well as training. Seaspark is a permanent activity on the calendar of the Pakistan Navy, the spokesman added. All the operational ships of Pakistan Navy, submarines, aircraft, marine forces and establishments on shore would take part in the exercise. Support units of Pakistan Army and Air Force would also participate in the exercise, the Navy spokesman added.
