National Database & Registration Authority (Nadra) has made special arrangements to help flood victims of Sindh, South Punjab and Balochistan in obtaining computerised national identity cards (CNICs) free of cost. Nadra spokesperson stated this in a statement issued here on Monday and added the authority has mobilised its mobile registration vans (MRVs) in rain-hit areas of Sindh, South Punjab and Balochistan to provide flood victims an opportunity of registering themselves for CNICs.
She said that the flood affectees can now approach MRVs in their respective areas to apply for CNICs free of cost as mobile vans have already been deployed in the rain-hit areas. "We are creating a convenience for the affectees through this initiative. However, the applicant's address should be of the flood-hit area as this service is meant only for the flood-victims," said the spokesperson. Spokesperson also informed that special teams have been formed under the supervision of concerned regional heads to closely monitor these activities.-PR
