Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) has disconnected electricity of five government departments including Faisalabad Railway Station for non payment of dues of electricity bills. Talking to newsmen Chief Executive Officer Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) Eng Iftikhar Ahmad said that special recovery teams are trying to collect outstanding bills, otherwise Fesco would disconnect the electricity connections of 18 government departments with default amount of Rs 81.96 million.
Meanwhile, in a high-level meeting which was attended by the Chief Engineer Commercial and Superintending Engineer of four circles, reviewed the recovery of arrears from private defaulters and Chief Executive Officer directed to further speedup the recovery campaign. Pakistan Railways is default with Rs 7.20 million, National Highway Authority (NHA), Rs 1.31 million, PTCL Rs 1.14 million, District & Session Judge, Rs 3.07 million, Punjab Irrigation, Rs 35.24 million, District Government Faisalabad, Rs 1.14 million, Agriculture District Government Faisalabad, Rs 2.74 million, Forest Department 1.26 million, District Road and Building Department Faisalabad have to pay Rs 1.76 million.
