The Khushhali Bank joined hands with Dawood Global Foundation (DGF), Dawood Capital Management Limited (DCM) and Higher Education Commission (HEC) to promote women entrepreneurship in the country. All these organisations sponsored the third Ladiesfund Entrepreneurship Conference, themed Cutting Edge Entrepreneurship (LEC 2012), said a press statement issued by the Khushhali Bank on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the event was participated by high profile entrepreneurs, key celebrities of various fields, professionals of various sectors and students of top five business schools of Pakistan. "We are delighted to be showcasing some of our country's most proven and exciting talent," Tara Uzra Dawood, President of DGF stated, adding "The Pakistani Dream is alive and well."
Lauding the efforts behind this initiative, Ghalib Nishtar, President Khushhali Bank expressed pleasure for sponsoring the event. "The Ladiesfund conference is a platform where women are supported and celebrated as the nucleus of change and betterment in the family unit, a vision that is a mainstay at Khushhali bank," he said.
The entrepreneurship is a vocational avenue that can offer greater income as well as better lifestyle choices for skilled individuals with limited means of sustenance. In the developing countries especially, entrepreneurship can provide a way out of poverty for women faced with meager resources and little or no formal education with which they could be equipped to fend for themselves and their families.
