The profit after tax of Pakistan Cables Limited has increased to Rs 139.956 million in the year ended June 30, 2012 (FY12) as compared to Rs 85.682 million earned in the corresponding period in FY11. The company's earning per share increased to Rs 4.92 in the period under review against Rs 3.34 in the same period last year.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held here on Wednesday recommended a final cash dividend for the year ended June 30, 2012 at Rs 3.25 per share ie 32.5 percent. According to the financial results sent to the Karachi Stock Exchange, the company's net sales increased to Rs 5.344 billion in FY12 against Rs 4.096 billion in FY11 while the cost of sales increased to Rs 4.656 billion against Rs 3.576 billion. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 240.956 million in FY12 as compared to Rs 146.682 million in FY11.
