University of Agriculture Faisalabad in collaboration with Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) is going to organise a world space week at UAF campus. The school students have been asked to participate in the world space week with their scientific models, and posters.
On first day, a family fair will be held and participating students will present themselves in a Water Rocket Competition, which includes the launching of water rockets by students from participating schools. The best three rockets in terms of distance covered will get the prize. A stall will be set-up by Suparco officials containing models, charts and presentations on multimedia, showing the history of Suparco and the services it has been providing to the country.
In this regard, a training workshop was held at main library of the University to make the students aware of the space technology and its significance for human safety and security. At D-Ground, the organisers demonstrated the performance of water rocket and urged the students to come up with such models and vigorously participate in the water rocket competition.
