Small traders on Wednesday staged a protest rally against the anti-Islam film and warned the US that such acts would "doom its society". Hundreds of traders took out a procession from Arambagh Market to Karachi Press Club. They were carrying banners and placards and shouting slogans against the US and Israel.
Angry protestors burnt an effigy of the US President and torched US and Israeli flags to denounce the anti-Islam film. They warned all countries supporting anti-Islam acts of "a strong reaction from Muslims". Speaking to the protestors, President All Karachi Tajir Ittehad Atiq Mir demanded of the US government to give an exemplary punishment to the anti-Islam filmmaker along with his entire production team, he said Muslims will never tolerate blasphemous attempt against Islam.
