The public anger simmered as the protests and demonstrations against the anti-Islam movie swelled with each passing day. On Wednesday, people from all walk of life joined with agitators under the banner of different political and religious parties, students wings to express their anger over the making of the anti-Islam film. The infuriated protesters set the US flag ablaze and chanted anti-America and anti-Israel slogans.
The University employees led by vice chancellor Dr Qibla Ayaz staged a protest demonstration in the campus. The workers of All Clerks Association and All Government Employees Co-ordination Council took out procession from Kacheri gate to Peshawar Press Club headed by its provincial president Mohammad Aslam Khan. Activists of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Jamaat-i-Islami Minority wing, Mutahida Talba Mahaz, Pasban and Anjuman Tajraan Nothia also staged a protest demonstrations on main Sher Shah Suri road near Peshawar Press Club.
Talking to reporters demonstrators condemned the making of anti-Islam movie, demanding exemplary punishment for the filmmaker to avoid such sacrilegious act in the future. The enraged protesters said that America had hurt sentiment of Muslims by such sacrilegious attempts.
