Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon on Friday condemned the attack on the Hyderabad Press Club. Unknown attackers reported to have manhandled and threatened a number of journalists in the club. Terming the incident a conspiracy against the nation, the provincial information minister said that such incidents would not be tolerated.
He said that the attack on media persons would harm Pakistan's image abroad. He praised steps taken by Commissioner, Hyderabad, Ahmed Bux Narejo, who called in Rangers and police personnel for protecting the Press Club. He assured journalists that the PPP, provincial government and Sindh Information Department would protect them at any cost.
