People from all walks of life have been urged to adopt fuel saving measures for their own benefit in order to offset the adverse impact of frequent increase in POL products prices on their domestic budgets to the maximum extent possible.
This appeal was made by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lahore-based firm Future Technologies, Shoaib Ashfaq Qureshi, while addressing the visitors to the stall of his concern at the closing ceremony of the International Exhibition & Conference on Energy, Gas, Oil and Power at the Expo Centre in Jauhar Town here last evening.
He said fuel saving measures can be adopted by the motorists without compromising on the mileage they have to do daily for their professional, business and personal purposes through use of innovative Japanese technology based equipment, panther, which gives appreciable saving of fuel consumption of up to 25 per cent on all vehicles running on petrol, diesel or CNG. Shoaib Ashfaq said that lesser consumption of POL products will not only benefit the motorists themselves but also is in the interest of the nation and the country and help in keeping the oil import bill under check and within reasonable limits.
He said the precious foreign exchange thus saved through lesser oil imports would help the government in utilising the same for some other productive and important purposes. He said the country is meeting its oil requirements through imports of more 60 per cent from other countries and the people can help in keeping this on the lesser side through adoption of fuel saving measures on priority basis without compromising on the mileage they have to do daily by their vehicles running on petrol, diesel or CNG.
He maintained that saving through use of the equipment can offset the not much cost the motorists have to incur on buying it within couple of months. Replying to the questions from the people, he said the fuel saving gadget, which was displayed in the exhibition is environment friendly and helps in minimising smoke emission besides improved horse power and functioning of the vehicles engines and has been tested and okayed by a number of international bodies concerned.
