Unknown armed men on motorbikes lobbed two hand-grenades on the house of a local businessman on Sunday in Block 1 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar. Sources said that businessman's house was attacked after he refused to pay extortion money. No damage was reported in the attack.
Police identified the cement businessman as Pervaiz Alam. A heavy contingent of security agencies and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) rushed to the scene while the area was cordoned off to avoid any untoward incident.
