Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Punjab President Ahsan Rasheed said that the PPP and the PML-N are hoodwinking the nation. He paid rich tributes to father of democracy Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan who had devoted his life for the cause of democracy.
Addressing a Party workers' convention held at the residence of Nawabzada Mansoor Khan in Khangarh, he added that the people are fed up with the two ruling parties while their trust on the PTI is strengthening day by day. Ahsan Rasheed said that Nation would have to forge unity like Friday's protest to get rid of corruption, nepotism, injustice, exploitation, extortion, and plundering.
He said that his party would bring about change in the country, adding that about 10 million people have been enrolled as Party members. He expressed the hope that the forthcoming elections would bring revolution. He urged the nation's youth to move forward so as to save the nation. He said that the PTI if came to power would run the government in line with the principles of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan.
He promised that his Party would provide seed, electricity and diesel at decreased prices, saying that the PTI's top priority is to improve education and health sectors. He mentioned that the PTI would protest against drone attacks on October 7 under the leadership of Imran Khan. He said that it was an honour for him to address the workers' convention.
On the occasion, Nawab Mansoor said that the PTI protested against the anti-Islam film. He expressed the hope that his party would be successful in fulfilling its mission. Later, Ahsan Bhutta, Riaz Bhatti, Saifullah Khan, Sajid Mahmood, Ibrar Khan, Kashifullah Khan, Irfanullah addressed the convention.
