FO dismisses Zalmay's 'unsolicited advice,' says Pakistan to emerge stronger from difficult situation

  • FO says Pakistan is a resilient nation and does not need lectures or unsolicited advice from anyone
Published March 15, 2023

The Foreign Office on Wednesday dismissed a statement by former U.S. Special Representative on Afghanistan Reconciliation, Zalmay Khalilzad, saying that the country did not need “unsolicited advice”, APP reported.

“Pakistan does not need lectures or unsolicited advice from anyone on how to cope with the challenges we face today,” the Foreign Office spokesperson said in a statement.

The statement came in response to a series of tweets by Zalmay Khalilzad where he suggested “steps” and said Pakistan faced a ‘triple crisis of political, economic, and security’.

“The sequential cannibalizing of its (Pakistan’s) leaders through jailing, execution, assassination, etc is the wrong path,” Khalilzad said.

He said that arresting PTI chief Imran would only “deepen the crisis”.

In response, the FO spokesperson said, “As a resilient nation, we will come out stronger from the present difficult situation.”

Hopefully the FO could make good on its optimistic retort, the Pakistani peoples await that delivary. By the way, unlike a number of his previous disappointments Zalmay got his vibes right this time. Kudos to his despite the FO's cold-shoulders !

Mr. Khaliljad is right. I think he is an educated and wise person. He knows well the actual nature and character of senseless Pakistanis and Pakistani establishment. Each and every Pakistani is uneducated senseless dull headed power thirsty power greedy blood thirsty traitor separatist secterist unruly indeciplin person. They don't love their mother land. For their own interest even they sell their mother and daughter and sister to other. Even they break into pieces of their motherland and for that they don't bother.

Did he say something incorrect? All his points are valid. If no one in Pakistans government notices these problems, then outsiders have an obligation to make these problems known.

Zalmay pinned the right approach no matter PML N is in government or PTI, that's how nations flourish.
