Mohammad Zubair Chhaya has been elected unopposed as Chairman of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) for the term 2012-13 in the annual general election held on Tuesday.
Chairman Election Committee Akbar Farooqui announced the election results according to which Niaz Ahmed and Najmul Arfeen have been elected as vice chairmen while Faraz-ur-Rehman, Niaz Ahmed, Farhat Ali Khan, Nadeem Khan, Mhammad Ghazanfar Ali Khan, Muhammad Zubair Chhaya, Zahid Saeed and Razzak Hasham Paracha have been elected unopposed as members executive committee.
The newly-elected Chairman Zubair Chhaya who has also served as chairman during the tenure of 1998-99 brings vast experience of serving trade and industrial bodies. He is also the chief of CPLC Malir. Patron In-Chief S M Muneer and All Karachi Industrial Alliance President Mian Zahid Hussain expressed hope that the newly-elected office-bearers would strive hard to serve the association and trade and industry.-PR
