BENGALURU: India’s palm oil imports in March rose about 24% from the previous month to 728,530 tonnes, a trade body said on Friday.
Imports of soyoil dropped 27% to 258,925 and sunflower oil imports were down about 5% at 148,145 tonnes, Mumbai-based Solvent Extractors’ Association of India (SEA) said in a release.
Vegetable oil imports rose over 5% to 1.17 million tonnes, the release added.
