Govt increases petrol price by Rs10, takes it to Rs282 per litre

  • Prices of diesel and light diesel oil to remain unchanged at Rs293 and Rs174.68, respectively

The government increased on Saturday the price of petrol by Rs10 per litre, taking it to Rs282 with effect from April 16, Aaj News reported.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced the hike in a late-night live address.

The minister said the prices of diesel and light diesel oil would remain unchanged at Rs293 and Rs174.68, respectively.

However, the price of kerosene was increased by Rs5.78 to Rs186.07.

The minister said the prices of petroleum products had increased internationally in the last two weeks.

IMF deal is practically dead. But to revive it, low level staff have prodded the government to increase petrol price to PKR320. This is a step in that direction. Result: crushing inflation, increased poverty and further economic meltdown.

@Tulukan Mairandi, This goon deliberately derailed the IMF deal using his filthy mouth. When in need even a mentally retard person will use diplomatic language for an international institution. Even musadaq malik announcement of petrol subsidy was a tool to further confuse and derail IMF deal for 2, 3 weeks. They are on to destroy this country entirely, paving the way for the return of dajjal (N.S) who will plead in person to KSA and bring a couple of billions to gain some political points.
