England’s superstar admires ‘phenomenal’ Amir
Pakistan pace sensation Muhammad Amir's stint at Pakistan Super League season three may have hit a snag, but his duration with Karachi Kings was impressive enough to win him acclaim from many, including an English fast bowler.
“Amir has been brilliant, especially with the new ball where he is very effective for us. I believe, I saw a graphic on TV the other day which showed that Amir's power-play bowling has been absolutely phenomenal. With the new ball in all formats of the game, he is excellent as he gets good swing and also bowls an excellent length with good pace,” said fellow Kings, Tymal Mills, quoted PakPassion.net.
The English fast bowler was hopeful that Amir would soon return to the squad and continue his good work. The Pakistani bowling spearhead suffered an injury during the Karachi Kings showdown against Peshawar Zalmi.
“He has been brilliant so far in the first few games but has a minor niggle at the moment which hopefully isn't too serious,” said Mills. He further said that Amir’s ability to restricting the run flow of the batsman and allow him to attain wickets at crucial moments.
“He has been taking wickets in the power-play and hasn't gone for too many runs that put pressure on the batsmen to hit out in the next overs and probably lose their wickets,” he added.
The unbeaten Kings would today lock horns with Shoaib Malik’s Multan Sultans at Sharjah.
