ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will attend the royal wedding of Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan today at the invitation of the royal family followed by his trip to Iraq, Foreign Office said.
In a statement, Foreign Office said that in the first leg of the visit, the foreign minister will travel to Jordan to attend the royal wedding at the invitation of the Royal family of Jordan.
The eldest son of King Abdullah II will marry his Saudi fiancée, Rajwa Al Saif, at the grand royal wedding today with the US first lady Jill Biden, and the king of The Netherlands, and regional leaders among the guests.
From Jordan, the foreign minister will travel to Iraq from 5-7 June 2023. During the visit, the Foreign Minister will meet with the Iraqi leadership, and hold a detailed meeting with his counterpart. “Important agreements will also be signed during the visit,” it added.
The foreign minister is undertaking this visit at the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Iraq, Dr Fuad Hussein.
