Former Punjab chief minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Usman Buzdar became the latest among a string of members of the political party to announce their decision to quit politics.

In a press conference, he said “I stand with the armed forces,” adding that his politics was peaceful.

He requested all stakeholders to work for the betterment of Pakistan regardless of their political affiliations.

He condemned the violence that followed PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s arrest on May 9.

“The military installations which were targeted were properties of the state of Pakistan and I believe we should avoid such incidents,” Buzdar said.

He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of the PTI from PP-286 (Dera Ghazi Khan-II) in 2018.

He was appointed CM Punjab in on August 20, 2018 and continued to hold the position till April 30, 2022. He resigned on April 1, 2022 but remained the CM until the appointment of his replacement. He was replaced by Parvez Elahi.

People who attacked, supported the attack, instigated the attack on military installations should voluntarily surrender to police or else consequences would be dire.

Not a loser he minted billions during his stint as CM Punjab. Now time to enjoy the booty. Just a look at his face shows his shallowness. What a pity. Our current system churns out such pitiful so called politicians.
