Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif has criticised the new local bodies system in Sindh, saying his party opposes the dual system and supports the nationalist parties' stance towards the issue.
He was speaking to media during his visit to rains and flood-affected areas of Sindh on Sunday. He said that his party would continue supporting the affected people of the province.
Nawaz said he supported Akhtar Mengal's six points to improve the situation in Balochistan. He further said that the only solution of Balochistan issue lay in transparent elections.
Meanwhile, addressing the flood victims in Dera Murad Jamali, the PML-N chief said that the government should make all possible efforts for the rehabilitation of the flood victims.
He announced that Punjab government would give Rs200,000 each to the heirs of those who lost their lives due to floods. He urged the people to help flood victims and do not solely rely on the government assistance. Nawaz said that his party was trying to supply relief items to Balochistan flood-hit areas, where road had been badly damaged.
